Sana’a — Medical and human rights sources have uncovered a new humanitarian scandal that underscores the disregard of Houthi militias for civilian lives, following their refusal to compensate families of children who died after receiving a contaminated dose of medication at Kuwait University Hospital in Sana’a.

The incident occurred inside the pediatric ward of Kuwait University Hospital, one of the capital’s key public medical facilities. According to medical professionals familiar with the case, the children were administered a tainted drug that led to fatal complications. 

Despite mounting evidence and appeals from grieving families, Houthi authorities have declined to acknowledge responsibility or offer any form of restitution.

The tragedy has sparked renewed calls for independent investigations and international oversight to protect vulnerable populations in conflict-affected areas of Yemen.
